Elections who would I vote for 2017?

Voting

In Social Studies we studied political party policies of Education, Housing and Health.

The Education policy that I best supported, was the National party because I personally think learning another language would be important for future reasons, like travelling or just trying to get along with other people with other cultures.

The Housing policy that I best supported with was the Maori party because I think stopping homelessness is a good goal to have in mind because homelessness is a worldwide problem and building 90,000 homes would help out with that.

And the Health policy that I chose to support was the Labour party because H.I.V and Obesity are said to be a world-renowned problem, so I think stopping them would be a good way of paying it forward to the people who have become victims of both of these problems.

These are all the parties that I support but the Party that I would vote for in 2017 is the Labour party because Health is something very important to me and my family.

Japanese Migration Model

JAPAN

In term 2 I conducted a social inquiry on migration
My social inquiry focused on the movement of the migrants from Japan to Nz

The Push reasons on why the Japanese people moved from their country of origin to New Zealand, Is because they had to move/migrate here because of their jobs, or they had low paying jobs that were not sufficient enough for their family or families to continue living in Japan, the jobs they did in Japan where entertainment acts or making something like toys or everyday household items.
Another push reason is due to some pollution from factories that cause sickness/ illness that is hard to cure because it can just keep coming back, so they moved either to neighboring countries or Countries with high tech or advanced medical supplies and doctors.
The pull reasons on why the Japanese people moved to New Zealand is because they wanted to go sightseeing around the world and decided to stay in New Zealand, or maybe they were curious to see how New Zealand does things differently to Japan, like Education and to see what kind of jobs there are here.
But in moving here they were also faced with challenges/ obstacles that got in their way, like Bullying, because they were a different race, they looked different, sounded different or because they were just better than the bullies at some things.

My personal perspective about this is that it’s good that the Japanese people migrated here because we can create a bond or a friendly relationship with Japan and help each other with things in the future, and we can also share things culturally to extend the knowledge of one another's culture and to also share fun activities and foods that are usually done culturally.

Survival Activity

Survival Activity

My group worked on a topic relating to survival.
The was that we were stranded on an island and found out that there were people inhabited on the island.
So we planned to steal from them and ask their chief/ leader so questions.

But our plans didn’t quite go as planned, due to some measly pirates trying to raid the island.
So we came up with another plan to get off the island and use the pirates to do so.

We rushed off, following the plan we successfully captured the pirate's captain and ended up executing him.
We then had to decide the leader/ captain for us and the new recruits/ pirates to follow.

In the end, we could not decide so we just chose three people, the captain was Taki, the Marshal / second in the command was Ben, and the strategist was me (LaSalle).

Interland

Interland is a game showing you how to be cyber smart, by having 4 levels based on what you should do or have.

1 Kind Tower: be kind to others and if you see bullying report it, try stop it or tell an adult.
2 Smart Tower: think about who can see your posts before you post them online.
3 Strong Tower: have a secure password that nobody would know and don't tell anyone.
4 Alert Tower: know what you are doing or ask for parental help when online, because there may be click-bait links to other random stuff.

2 DAYS WITHOUT SOME OF THE YR9'S

On Monday and Tuesday, The school was much more quiet without some of the yr 9, and also it felt a bit weird not having some students in our class and also moving and following another classes period roster.
But even so the day was twice as boring, because we mostly read our school books had some free time and did work that some of us did not understand or found difficult.
